Visit of Shashi Tharoor to Aura Edify Global School..

A Significant Triumph


The bright evening of June 9, 2013 was an august occasion for Aura Edify Global School, Kodungallur.  Dr. Shashi Tharoor, the Minister of State for Human Resource Development, an eminent personality and a person who is known to be keen about quality education in India, inaugurated Aura Edify Global School, Kodungallur.

Kodungallur echoed with the School Song of Edify Schools and so amidst the shimmering back waters and lovely hill sides of Kerala, began another year of guiding and mentoring of yet another generation of eager learners who will become critical and compassionate thinkers, dedicated learners for life and contributing members of the local and global community.

Dr. Tharoor's presence, as the Chief Guest, added grace to the ceremony. He called it "a significant triumph". His inspiring words that- 'Education is not all about well -filled minds but very much about well- formed minds' left a lasting impression on every body's mind. He planted a Bahunia sapling in the school premises, which would bear the imprint of his message – 'True education is what is left behind in your mind when everything else is forgotten'. The lighting of the lamp of wisdom was a special feature, that evening.

The Chairman of Aura Academic Institutions, Mr. K.K. Ashraf, announced with pride, the birth of an International School, which has got as its legacy – a signature school with excellent Infrastructure at the very starting. He emphasized, that although it is based on international standards, the Aura Edify Global School would stand for Indian values in this fast changing world.

A memento of gratitude was presented to the Chief Guest Dr Shashi Tharoor.

Scholarships were offered to selected candidates of Aura Edify Global Schools, Perinthalmanna and Kodungallur. The selected students would be able to enjoy free education in both the schools. A special trophy was awarded to Adira Menon for securing 5th rank in the Kerala Entrance Examination. Trophies were also awarded to the students who scored the high percentages in the CBSE class 10 Examination.

Ms. Kavitha Jain the Vice President of MDN Edify Education reiterated the value of the 3C Curriculum in the modern day education scenario and emphasized that it grooms young minds spiritually, intellectually and morally. She enthusiastically hoped that together both Aura Edify and MDN Edify Education would be all set to create a revolution in the field of education. The aim of the 3C Curriculum in Aura Edify is to help children enjoy their entire schooling years by making them more productive, joyous and enriching.

Mr. Joseph David, the Principal of Aura Edify Global School Perinthalmanna , wished the school success in all its endeavors and urged the new parents to be partners in the holistic development of their children with the 3C Curriculum.

After a short break, the parents and guests settled down to watch a lively presentation by the newly admitted students of Kodungallur School, which lasted a dazzling half hour. The Odissi dance performed by the girls of the Primary classes was amazing. The English skit- Aura Shows the Way- gave an inkling into the children's capacity to record their voices after a thorough audition and then act it out on stage. Besides, an Action song by the tiny tots, the primary students performed a breath taking energetic fusion dance by both boys and girls. The entire presentation was a window to fresh talent yet to be explored.

One of the Directors, Mr. Karim, delivered the Vote of Thanks. With all humility, he thanked all dignitaries, guests, parents, staff and students, not forgetting the Almighty, without whose shower of blessings, a new monument of learning wouldn't have been born.
